Many modern routines focus only on a quick cosmetic finish. ORAA returns to an older idea: care for the roots, respect the scalp, support the strands, and let beauty come from consistent care.

ORAA began from a personal belief: nature has answers when we learn to listen. Coming from a family that values science, health, and traditional living, we wanted rituals that feel honest and rooted in ingredients trusted for generations.

Hair care in Ayurveda was never a routine — it was a ritual passed between generations, carried in copper vessels, woven through families. We grew up watching it. We built ORAA to bring that wisdom back, without compromise.

New to solid shampoo?

We made the switch easy.

If you have long hair, have tried bar shampoo before, or are wondering how this works — we get it. Here are the questions we hear most.

"Will it work for long hair?"
Yes — and ORAA was specifically designed with long hair in mind. Apply the bar directly to a very wet scalp, build lather at the roots, then let the rinse carry conditioner through the lengths. The key is using enough water and working section by section.

Most long-hair customers see the best results after 2–3 washes once their scalp adjusts.
💡
Pro tip: oil your lengths before washing to protect them during the transition period.
"Will there be a transition period?"
Some people experience a 1–2 week adjustment as your scalp recalibrates from silicone-based products. This is normal and temporary. Your scalp may feel different at first — slightly waxy or heavier — as it adjusts to a genuinely clean formula.

Sticking with it past the first few washes is where the difference really starts to show.
💡
Pro tip: a diluted apple cider vinegar rinse once a week can help speed up the transition.
"Where do I store the bar between washes?"
This is important — never store a wet bar inside the cardboard box. Always let it dry fully between uses on a well-drained surface away from direct water spray.

A bamboo or wooden soap dish with drainage slats works best. The bar lasts significantly longer when it can dry properly between washes — up to 2–3× longer than if left sitting in water.
💡
Pro tip: a magnetic soap holder keeps the bar completely out of water and extends its life dramatically.
